An Indiana Department of Workforce Development auditor pleaded not guilty recently to charges of attempted murder. It was alleged that he fired a shotgun into an agency office in northwestern Indiana.
The suspect was reported to have told police officers after he surrendered at gunpoint and that faulty ammunition had prevented him from firing more shots, according to court documents. Investigators reported finding two unspent shells near the shattered front door as well as one near the rear exit through which his co-workers fled.
